Here stands the stage
Way too broken
From all the weight
Of words yet spoken
Do you dare?
Crossing the heart
And pledge to stare
The weight weeps part
How can they hope
Or overcome by far
There’s a cliff in the way
Oh wish, a shooting star
The lights go dim
One gasp, one leap
Headfirst into dark unknown
Now lay me down to sleep.

Remembering
That we’re like the rest!

Like a slacker—who went to church
Maybe HE will forgive, forget
How the floors will burn and lurch!
Just put the records all away!
Oh let the rain douse your pain
Hold my hand and fall down
