Oh we forgot
Oh we forgot
The sun was shot
It ain’t so hot
He’s impaled by candy canes
Tongue sliced off by window panes
Mash your face into a wall
Cheryl, would you hold that call?
Lay down
Way down
No sound
Was found
Can’t help thinking, so wrong
The way home is so long
Away from the sun, in a hole
In the darkness, we can control
The sky is bliss-less
His eye is list-less
Was I a mistress?
Or found as kiss-less?
I have no right to judge at all
For in the end, we too must fall
Elevators go up and down
The sin of one without a sound. |

"Mash your face into a wall
Cheryl, would you hold that call?"
Tis why. XD
Dunno if it was meant to be funny though. X]

People in pictures
Are strangers to me
In despair they smile
But that’s all you’ll see
Are they happy?
Or truly quite sad?
Photos are liars,
They cut out the bad
How unreliable
Just one point of view
That’s a nice canyon
But what about you?
Then death comes,
Meniscus fingers drawn
And all we have left—
A photo to cry on |

Today’s like every other day
Woke up, and don’t know what to say
Three tin soldiers, all in a line
Only to find they’re never fine
But can you hear?
In that cave, your mouth
Or is it fear?
When it all goes south
But when you’re angry
And you’re feeling mad
You either rage, or storm
To drown out the bad
We’re eternally forlorn
The focal point of your scorn
But are we sad—mad—glad?
To fill a hole not had
Thirty, seems too long
Why live that length?
Twenty, seems so fine—
Pray for some strength
It’s a hazard
An eternal hell
Demon’s stare back
YOU CAN NEVER TELL.

**So this is another "take it as you may" poems. The style's a bit tweaked, but overall decent.
Hope everyone likes it either way. xD |

Do you like them for their music?
Or for their fame?
Do you like them for the lyrics?
Or for their name?
Sugar coated and recycled
Drones on and on
No hope of variety—
Suicide drawn,
Do you care for the message?
Or find it lame?
Do you care for innovation?
Or see it same?
Can’t turn on a radio
Without hearing ONE sound
Pull the trigger, I’m bored—
All monotone, confound!
Do you beat your own drum?
Or follow the crowd?
Do you like to conform?
Or SHOUT it out LOUD?
Their thoughts are yours
The actions, those too
Just give it one try
You ought to be YOU. |
