and the whole reality tv thing [if you're paying attention to mcr's blogs on their website you'll get it]
and i liked the whole beauty salon with the seance.
reminded me of a davey havok moment =D
i thought it was pretty good overall, i agree with it kind of being like a prologue. |

TBH, the last series of TUA wasn't exciting. I was expecting the same, but the first issue of Dallas? Holy smokes.
Its a sh*t load better.
I was acctually excited to turn the page, interested in the next move. It kept me occupied, unlike the first series!
BRAVO GERARD + GABRIEL!

Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2903 | December 14th, 2008 at 12:29pm I loved the updates on the characters. And I adore everything about Number 5. I do understand some people's criticism though, because the story didn't really seem to start yet, it did feel very much like a prologue.
Can't wait for the next one. |

Best part: I think it probably came from stage. People would interview me at times and you get all kinds of really weird questions when you’re in a band – everything from stupid questions about your hair to if you could be an animal, what animal would you be? I eventually came up with stuff like, “I’d be a gazelle.” So I think I was trying to convey his elegance at fighting and escaping his enemies, but it definitely came from some really weird moments from being on stage for me. I’ve said so many ridiculous things over the years.
And he comments on teenage girls getting into the comic because of the band.
sigh.... the first series of TUA won multiple awards and developed an audience because of the content - mcr fans were not voting on comic industry awards -- it won because it was new, original, fresh, intelligent and exciting - there didn't need to be an explosion or massacre on every page. |

Badass interview; thanks for posting that, Jules. Sigh...yeah it's really annoying that most of the world refuses to separate TUA from MCR despite the fact that the book clearly stands on its own merit amongst true comic geeks, right Tabs? |

Age: 45 Gender: Female Posts: 1831 | December 23rd, 2008 at 05:11pm ^^ Preach it, sister. Fucking GAAAAHHHH. Teenies need to get the fuck out of my comic shop. That's all I have to say about it.
But, what's with the thinly veiled insult to the Teen Titans, Mr. Way? You are treading on thin ice there, sir. |
