I think necrophilia has nohing positive in it. First, its a health hazard. I mean a corpse contains pathogens. Second, its a disrespect for the dead. |

Obsessing with corpses is...fine, I guess. Killers are some nasty sick people - go see Disturbia and any Hannibal movie, you'll see. I think the only people who would ever sleep with a dead person are disgusting, vile beings whose minds are sick and twisted beyond belief. I agree with the person on this page who said it was disrespectful for the dead.

I have no problem with this. I've recently been considering becoming a pathologist, purely because death and corpses do fascinate me. I think the way that's it's possible to tell how a person died by looking at their body is incredible. And well, aren't we all obsessed with death, in a way? Everyone wonders about what will happen to them when they die, how they'll die etc.

This part is what I have an issue with. I'm all for equality, and not judging people, but I do think that disturbing someone after they've been put to rest is disrespectful. It's just not fair. Plus there are all the risks of contracting a disease or infection from the corpse, which apart from being hard to explain at the hospital, is just plain dangerous. I suppose if a person had consent to have the body, or permission from the person before they died, then there's nothing really disrespectful about it, except that one of them is dead. But if that doesn't bother them then, well, it's their life, not mine. |

Being turned on by corpses is a mental illness. The fact that some people have this fetish isn't a competent argument. Plenty of people have antisocial personality disorder, but you don't see people accepting it as normal. It doesn't make sense from an evolutionary or religious point of view. |

It shows no consideration or respect towards the person.
I mean, sure you could argue that they're dead, and no longer really that 'person'?
But if you think about it being your mum, or friend, then it still is that person to you really.
And in my head, is pretty much like rape.
It's not consented (okkay, I know it can't be, but still).
