Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 476 | February 13th, 2009 at 04:24am In To The End, I used to hear "Increase the medication share the vows at the wake" as "Increase the medication, she'll arise at the wake"
And somehow, in Give 'Em Hell, Kid I heard "well I'm a total wreck, and almost every day" as "well I'm tired of working almost every day" :S |

In Hang 'Em High, I thought "Mass convulsions..." was "Nascar vultures..."
I still hear that, but I hear "Mass convulsions..." too.
Also, in The Sharpest Lifes, I heard "'Cause I love all the boys, away with the boys in the band." when its really poison. |

Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 80 | March 13th, 2009 at 09:15pm This is the weirdest one I ever heard.
In Headfirst For Halos, at the "and as the fragments of my skull begin to fall...." part I seriously thought it was "and as the pregnant seagull begins to fall..."
It was all very strange. 0.o |

Yeah, all of those. And, in "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us", I kept hearing "Now we're not working out" as "Now we're not fucking now" |

I heard:
Well, I think I'm gonna burn in hell
Everybody burn in hell sometime
What was actually sung:
Well, I think I'm gonna burn in hell
Everybody burn the house right down
In The Sharpest Lives:
I heard:
I love all the boys and away with the boys in the band
What was actually sung:
I love all the poison, away with the boys in the band |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 8012 | March 31st, 2009 at 05:45pm haha. this isn't exactly misunderstanding, but a few weeks ago i was having a O__o
kind of day and decided to listen to mcr, cemetary drive came on and i was singing along in my head and got some lines messed up a bit:
Actual- "where the searchlights find us drinking by the mausoleum door, and they found you on the bathroom floor..."
After a crazy day interpretation- "where the searchlights find us drinking on the mausoleum floor and they found you on the bathroom door"
heh. heh.
that just struck me as hilarious at the time, of course i was quite deliriously slap happy. but i guess if you really think about it and picture it....meh, yeah. |

I always mistake it for something else. |

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 28500 | April 11th, 2009 at 05:25am Instead of "I've really been on a bender and it shows" I thought it was "I'm in a band called Bender and it shows." It made more sense once I realized what he really sang xD
I also heard "can you steak my heart." |

Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 186346 | April 11th, 2009 at 12:22pm I heard, "I've really been on a vender and it shows" or "I've really been on a blender and it shows." in the Sharpest Lives, which is actually "I've really been on a bender and it shows." and then once i learned what it was, i still forgot about it months later. i know now, though |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 322 | May 15th, 2009 at 03:22pm I think that the part of Drowning Lessons when it goes like this can be misunderstood:
These hands stained red
From the times that I've killed you and then
We can wash down this engagement ring
With poison and kerosene
We'll laugh as we die
And we'll celebrate the end of things
With cheap champagne
If you just read it from the booklet, it doesn't sound right the first time you see it. Sounds suicidal, even though it has a storyline and more meaning to it. |
