I don't really know that I'm playing correctly, but this summer I'm going to be taking lessons for rock guitar! I'm really happy. Today I picked up the guitar and played for the first time in months. Now my fingers are all sore. I love it. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something. |

theres a few questions you may want to ask yourself. ...
are both your guitars tuned to the same tuning
which is standard ?.
firstly what kind of guitar do you have
its really hard to answer
if its a stratocaster kind of guitar
you mite have it set to different pickups
if its a lespaul/sg kind you could have it set on treble and your friend could have it set to rythem
i cant really help unless you give me some specifics ..
so please when and iff you read this
write down
the make of guitar
or at least the shape of it
oh one more thing
it could be your amp.. so check the settings yehh ? |

practice makes things precise ROFL
just keep working at it ..
ermm i know how to play demolition lovers
just like learning most songs
take it slow and try to watch where your fingers are sitting
you know stuff like that
find out which arrangement for your fingers is best like
should you use your middle finger or ring finger for that stretch ?
just keep practicing it sooner or later the routine will be melded into your brain.
and thats the goal
so have fun yehh ?

Posts: 2955 | May 27th, 2007 at 10:33pm I'm a self-taught musician, and I am the best kid guitar player in my town. The problemnis, I never took lessons and I picked up bad habits.
Like holding the pick the wrong way, my pinky not being strong enough stuff like that. I'm worried I'll never reach my full potential because of my bad habits, like I'm trying to sweep pick, but I'm very bad at it and my alternate picking sucks cause I'm sloppy with the pick.
The point is, lessons are good. I can't find lessons though cause all the teachers are actually not as good as me. |
