^^
i guess your tips make some sort of sense
but the chords are fundamentals
and you build up dexterity.
thats probablii the reason why it took you a month to learn im not okae.

though i am intrested in your method of doing things.
i taught myself
and i found it hella hard without the basics.
specially trying prison.
whch is more of an intermediate song

well maybe it was easy for me w/o the fundamentals b/c prior ive played piano(so i new cords just not on guitar) and ive had already been playing music for 5 years then,
but i geuss if its your first instrument then its good to learn cords

as appose to chords and scales and such

Is their a way to get faster between switching chords in a song besides just practicing?

I'm learning Sugar We're Going Down & I takes me forever to switch between chords...

i've been 'playing' guitar for a few years. and... well... i can't actually play anything (my fault entirely)

i just give up too easily and my attention span is really short. and i'm left handed so chords are quite hard to read. gah... any advice to help me kinda concentrate a bit more?

are they power cords or actual cords?

power cords- nothing to do but practice

cords- find diffrent wasy to switch or place ur fingers in diff. postions and see if its easier to switch

baby steps.
i think its better for you to achieve simple goals at first
to give you a taste of success with the sixx string.
ROFL.

so yehh set simple goals like
im gonna get my fingers in teh right place for that chord
or im gonna learn that lick.

and when you do
youll feel totally satisfied.

so dont ever stop yes ?

and as for the left handed problem
iill get bak on you for that
i have a friend who plays left handed he mite havea tip or two for ya !

hahaha. yeah... The Boosh owns.

well... i can play something... the BASS line to Astro Zombies. I was looking at tabs and clicked on it and I was like Whoa, this is easy. then i realised it was bass and I started yelling at my computer coz i'm a waffle.

but thanks for the advice! much appreciated.

It might just be me who finds reading chords hard. But hey ho. I'll keep trying

I think the chords I have for Sugar...are altered for my learning purposes they aren't the actual ones per se.

Doll Parts:
whats the easiest simplest way to learn to strum cause i can't get the hang on it

When I started guitar my guitar teacher gave me this exersise to help me out.

Fret 1 of the Low E string with your first finger.
" 2 " " " " " " " 2nd " .
" 3 " " " 3rd "
Keep going until you get to 4th finger of the 4th fret and then repeat the exersise on A D G B E. Also, do it backwards. It works.

Also, a good way to learn your strings.

E very
A lien
D rug
G rows
B etter in
E ngland

Kind of random. Made it up a few years back.
