Say you fret a note. 6th (E) string, tenth fret. You strike the eleventh fret, same string, with your middle finger, fretting it down. Clear enough? |

I own a grand collection of nine good ones now.
The rest I either don't use or lost, or our rhythm or bassist lost/broke/mutilated one they borrowed.

On the low E string the sound sounds kinda fuzzy...
It might be b/c I have a cheap guitar..I'm getting a better one next week so I'll tell you if I have the same problem w/ that one... |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 279 | October 7th, 2007 at 11:40am Often the scratchiness if from not holding the strings down hard enough, or too far away from the frets. If you've checked that it's neither of these, it could just be your strings buzzing somewhere along the line where they're attached and you might need to get new strings/guitar. |

hokaii.
there are a few reasons why your guitar could be a little fuzzy
specially your lower e ?
1 your distortion is too high .
turn it down a tad
try that.
2 Your string are tooo close to the fretts
try raising the bridge a little.
3
your fretts need to be filed down
in this case
you ahve frett buzz
go down the fret board note for note till you find a clear note.
when you find it
file down the frett before it and that should do the trick
any questiosn on this PM mee ill go into more detail if you want ?

When it comes to your first lesson don't be nervous! Tell your teacher your favorite bands so he or she can get a feel for the music you like. |
