A Cliché Smile

Remember me for who I am
Just a soul you’d rather damn
I am bleeding on the floor
Not so cliché anymore,

Would you take my hand and pray?
Little words I cannot say
If memory serves right
Not once did you leave my sight,

You said, “I’ll never let you fall”
Empty words, I’ve lost it all
Tears you shed, made not a sound
Pretty soon I’ll be the ground,

I hear the sirens of life
Please don’t take away the knife
If I want to die, okay
You don’t need to ever stay,

My broken dreams will never mend
And sleepless nights will not end
Once I knew how to smile
There it is, on the tile.

My Place, No More

No place for me
To run or be
No object of peace
To make tears cease,

Once had a place
My great disgrace
But now it's gone
Burned up by dawn,

How could this be?
Simple, you see
Dark hate and tears taint the mind
The innocent, hard to find,

Once you have it, don't let go
From somebody who should know
This bright memory, I said
Is a saviour when you're dead.

Soldier

Bad thoughts come marching in
Trample the heart within
At attention, down with lead
Fire! Fire! We’re all dead,

Corporal, Sergeant, come to me
Who are we but free?
Heaven spat, turn away
For your soul can never stay,

Mother, Father, listen close
Do me the favor and never boast
Your son or daughter always cry
This failed attempt to die,

Suicide is like a war
Ravaging the inner core
Even if you lose or win
People treat you like a sin,

So answer me honest
How can life be as promised?
The only thing we can do or pray
Look away soldier, look away.

Good-bye, At Last

If memory shows
Your face so clearly
A still frame in my mind
The warmth in my heart,

You were there when I cried
And held me close
That loving gesture I never forgot
The smile that turned night to day,

Then draped in white
So sick and weak
I held your hand, smiling
You’ll be fine, I promise,

I wasn’t there, when you died
On my knees, this isn’t right
Now the tears roll off your grave
Never even said good-bye.

I’m sorry.

Killer With A Knife

Little bastards will never leave
Not allowed to even breathe
Here we are, society’s youth
Failure is the bitter truth,

Never will we die
Though it’s hard to die
Find a way, free thought
A lost battle we fought,

No individual mind at all
Break me down and fall
No more crying, it’s lame
Just a way to lose this game,

Teenage angst, bring it
The seizure ridden misfit
Screams for love never given
Bitter and revenge driven,

Out of the house, good-bye
Didn’t get to try
But know the fault is yours
Not the TV or the chores,

We’re already dead, don’t care
Standing in a room, you stare
A zombie vacant of life
Kill him, kill her, with a knife.

Circus of Screams

Tell me a story
Of clowns and knives
Pasty and gory
We scream for lives,

Circus of death
For children, all ages
Stealing the breath
By spurting rages,

See how he hangs
Neck broken, unhinged
Hear the bell, it clangs
For burnt families singed,

Makes no sense
But oh how it shall
When misery can’t wince
And becomes no one’s pal,

Enjoy the show, ladies and gents
Beware the raging elephants
Eyes are stretched wide, what fear!
Behold the circus, dear.

Life Is But A Dream

The memories weren't there
When you wake, you just stare
Life is but a dream
Memories pull the seam,

Oh I'm never going home
Let my mind be free to roam
What's the point of being free?
When it's life, you'll never see,

I'm not afraid to go
But these pictures never show
What I'm like inside
Screaming, "Momma lied!"

Daddy never gave a damn
Like I never knew who I am
Smile bright, the camera eyes
A picture full of unwrit lies,

Memories, pull the seams
Reveal the life of broken dreams
Now you finally see
Who I am, Who I'll be.

Where Are You?

We can’t go any farther
Some may say it gets harder
But oh what can we say?
Never get there today,

Image burned in our mind
Intentions, for the blind
Shackles pressed into our skin
A freedom we sought to win,

What is this thing we fear?
Fresh scars singing, “You’re here!”
High from our pain, what the fuck
Negotiations, you suck,

Happiness is for the lame
Indulgence, but a game
We can’t take another year
School wide expansion, we fear.

Awkward Mistletoe

The cutting scars, always shine
Just one slip and you'll be mine
Hanging makes dark mistletoe
Just one kiss before you go,

No we can't tell you what to do
For reasons we already knew
If the heart is in the home
Then let me die alone,

The music helps, hurray
Live to see light and stay
Hey shrinks, what's your mission?
Stay out of dark vision,

Guess I'm a mental pain
Tied down tight, in disdain
Physically I'm alright, you know
Although there's more than one way to go.

School Yard

They came in line
Dark intent in mind
Slower then fast
Please sign my cast,

I don’t remember the attack
Just how I ended on my back
As fast they came, they were gone
Wonder if I’ll live to dawn,

Across the lawn, they stand
Mimic my broken hand
How I wish irony was wrong
Laying down for god-knows-how-long,

They went in a line
And now they’re confined
School yard bullies, see
You’ll soon be like me.

Little Demon

Little demon
Lift up your face
Tears you cried
Rain from your wrist,

The two monsters you have
Rage wars instead
No matter, you whisper
Mirror breaking, true lies,

Fingers creeping, hard to find
So lost- Ashamed
Cutting, beating, screaming
Because you're alone,

So little demon
Rebel creator of fight
No matter what the monsters say
Your own ghosts are human.

I Dream Of…

They know nothing of hell
Swing the fiery bell
Broken raindrops
This token stops,

Fields of hellfire
Smite last of vision
Cages of flesh, fear
Scream for what is dear,

Sulfur plumes, what a stench
Strike your lover by wrench
Head is down now
But won’t allow,

Are there angels here?
There may, but not near
Doomed is the life
Who cried with knife,

I’m awake, fine
Sweet dreams of mine
Oh, what can you achieve?
Thoughts of hell never leave.

Weekday Morning

Woke up, real dead
Coppery lead
Can’t cry, how’s that?
Spitting blood, I spat,

Same whining, shut door
Same complaining, oh bore
The stitches you’ve sewn
Are now my map home,

I’ve realized just one thing
Stand lost, out of life’s ring
And you’ll be what they abuse
A broken shell up for use,

Here’s a bouquet, sniff twice
Now you know I’ll never be nice
Off the building, go face down
Hope to god, remember the ground.

Heart Splattered Walls

You are the reason
We staple our eyes
And tried for treason
For telling such lies,

You are the essence
That makes kids cry
Toxic in presence
Just always lie,

There are eyes in walls
Stare down her throat
Her soul, where knives fall
Hidden by coat,

The person that flees
You were there at the start
Here we beg, on knees
Have you a beating heart?

Real

They are sitting in a tree
K-I-S-S-I-N-G
Fingers lock, they pick the soul
Wanting to break the whole,

Does she love him? Just stare
Remember life isn't fair
No, we're not really all that strong
Just a broken, repeating song,

This isn't about murder, death
Or the sound of her broken breath
It's of those who want to feel
Something that was never real.

Dead Gone

I'm not here to know
My weather beaten foe
No one will help you along
Such a different kind of song,

I respect all who try hard
Break defenses, shatter guard
Suffer you, the daylight dreams
Often hopes hang from the beams,

Once it helped, but no more
How it hurts like before
In a corner, shaking mad
Sadness shouldn't feel so bad,

In my blood, I spell out DOVE
The only peace I could love
Smiling now, a corpse-like stare
Wonder what it's like in there.

Psycho!

Staring, what fun
Shudder, a gun!
Feeling sad, I cry
What tragedy, die!

Boo-hiss, damn you
I missed, he knew!
So bored, so down
Oh lord, just frown!

Always angsty, yes sir
What’s it to you, bless her!
Smile or shout, rage
In a box, a cage!

First to last, the end
Injury, can’t mend!
Here’s a choice, a chance
Do or die? Just dance!

Fine Line

These eyes see dark
When you do not
A single spark
From the gun shot,

We wear the mask
Others often fear
Questions we ask
Shudder the heart, dear,

That fine line, so thin
We know when or where
That battle you win
Probe the eyes, and stare,

Your face, but a scar
Always there when called
Never gone so far
Shockingly, we stalled,

Truth isn’t pretty
It’s really quite dim
Only the witty
Can stay off that rim.

Tell Me

Tell me the word
Tell me okay
Tell me you heard
Tell me to stay,

But never tell me
Because I already know
A reason maybe
That I should certainly go,

Tell me your tears
Tell me your lies
Tell me the fears
Tell me who dies,

I am sick of trying
To say muffled truth
And I feel like dying
So smother the youth,

Tell me, “Your time’s up”
Tell me the night scares
Tell me, “Don’t erupt”
Tell me who else dares,

It’s stuck in my chest
Choking, I cannot say
I am great, the best
Please let me fade away,

Tell me I’m sick
Tell me today
Tell me to trick

I’m not okay.

If You Asked…

There you sit, on bathroom tiles
But no one hears you
We ran away, forty miles
Watch her lips turn blue,

Eyes, still and vacant
Wonder why they stare
If asked to take it
Would you still be there?

Why would you beg, plead?
Girl, who’s afraid to lie
Tell me what you need
But I won’t help you die.
