Shotgun Sinner Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 9913	March 19th, 2010 at 07:34pm ^^ i love that photo :3 this venue was the coolest! :3 a dream opportunity for me as a photographer... even though the venue itself, and the surrounding area, was a wee bit shady. ...eh, not matter. i had a blast on this particular evenng, and go the photos to prove it xD a ton more to come... like some of the actual bands? xp but these are my art-sy, just-for-fun ones... because i couldnt resist in a place like this! -

high drama. Awake and Unafraid Age: - Gender: - Posts: 14569	March 22nd, 2010 at 12:08pm so I took some photos on the concert I was on last friday. they're all taken with my brand new compact camera (that I haven't had much time to get used to), and i took them from the crowd, so they're not even close to what you guys' concert photos are! anyway, here's some of them (: concidering the above, plus that I was more focused on enjoying the concert than taking the photos, i think they turned out okay.
thank fsm. In The Murder Scene Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 20564	March 22nd, 2010 at 08:43pm I like the last one a lot. Looks like it was hella smoky in there; bummer. Good thing you were able to focus on more than just photos. I had trouble doing that at Own City/Lights and I kinda regret it.

Awake and Unafraid Age: - Gender: - Posts: 14569	March 23rd, 2010 at 03:28am thank you! the last one's my favorite to. it was a magical moment; they shot out thousands and thousands of red paper birds with song lyrics on them. it was indeed very smoky in there, my camera had some trouble with the auto-focus due to that.

Salute You in Your Grave Age: 50 Gender: Male Posts: 2218	March 24th, 2010 at 01:50pm This is one of those experimental things! i think it's pretty cool, it's a macro of my lizards eye. my 50mm lens was attached to my poor camera which is on it's way out (LOL) it has problems metering light and is totally unreliable now, then i basically held up my 24mm lens with it and had fun annoying spyro. ;D Anyway i should have a new camera by june. i need to save up for it, i currently have nothing towards it. i'm hoping to get a D90 body, i would like one simply for the auto focus in the body and better low light abilities. i haven't heard anything from the competition, but hopefully i might win something to put towards a new camera xD highly unlikely though, i never win anything whatever though )': &these. all of them are bad quality because of a number of things, xD

I [have] trouble doing that at [pretty much every show i go to] and I [typically] regret it. that so much! lol high drama., i agree. that last photo is magical. excellent. that's one of those special photos you'll always adore because of the circumstances and the fact that you happened to hit the shutter at just the perfect moment... and it just sort of composed itself beautifully. ya know? :3 nice work! speaking of gig shots... still working on mine. i think i'll be spenidng at least a day of my spring break editing frames... xp

Awake and Unafraid Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 13483	March 26th, 2010 at 04:44am I found out some of my photos will be used on the front and centerpages of a new local magazine starting up in my city =D so me and becky are gonna do two new shoots in the coming weeks. One's medical fetish themed and the other possibly cheshire cat themed. If one of them doesn't work out we're doing a tokyo street fashion one. :3

The Master. Salute You in Your Grave Age: 50 Gender: Male Posts: 2218	April 8th, 2010 at 07:01pm Nikon D90! ooh and basically it was brand new! But i got the body quite a bit cheaper. i went on a walk today, to this really beautiful village with quite a few cliffs near, it was stunning, if only my photographs did the cliffs justice xD i'm going back soon with my tripod, to get some nice photos just after the sun has gone down, lets hope for a nice day soon these are just a select few, i have more to edit and such. i think hdr worked well on these. i'm really going to have to invest in some decent lenses, the only useable one i have is a 50mm, i'm looking out for a second hand tokina 11-16mm and an 18-200 mm for now (:

I shoot next to NO landscape but if I did, it would definitely step up to the plate. Have you checked out the video feature? Haha kind of pointless for us, but there was actually a full-length film made with the D90! o.o These are some epic photographs; it's nice to see your work progress. Yupper Motor Baby Age: - Gender: - Posts: 846	April 12th, 2010 at 04:53pm Hey, I'm really amature when it comes to photography, but I'm interested, and slowly progressing. I also would like some help. A band wants me to take their picture in a blueberry field, and I would really like to do a good job. Here are pictures of the field, 1 2 As you can see it's a red colour, and I would really love if everything were really vivid in my future photos of it. Currently I am using a Nikon D3000 with the kit lens. So, anyone have some suggestions?
thank fsm. In The Murder Scene Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 20564	April 12th, 2010 at 05:34pm Not a ton of advice; seems like with what you have it'll be pretty straightforward. Shoot in manual mode (not manual focus, that's different). if you want a shallow depth of field (blurry background), get nice and close to them, zoom in, and have your f-stop set to the lowest value possible (adjust shutter speed as necessary). But also have some shots where your f-stop is higher and you are further out, maybe even low to the ground while they are standing, to get that wide-open feeling. The color is all in your post-processing. You can saturate it then.
