If you looke up Katmandu it's a song by both Cat Stevens and Bob Segar, maybe the girls name or nickname was Kat and thier song was Katmandu? Also Katmandu is the capitol of Nepal. The chick who use to be my best friend told me this story that I use to believe (I don't know where she got it from). It was Gerard dated a girl named Kat since basically the begining of the band. Kat had had a baby (Olivia) with another guy, who had left her. Once Gerard and her got together, he was helping to take care of the kid, who he got pretty attacked too. Gerard tried to center the begining of the band as close to New Jersey as possible till it was absolutely necessary for the band and thier career to expand more, so he could help take care of Olivia. While he was on tour, Kat started to cheat on him with his best friends, and he caught her in his own bed. He stayed with her for the sake of the baby. My friend believed Matt was somehow involved in the affair and that's one of the main reasons why they finally got around to kicking him out of the band. I can see this happening, due to I can see Gerard loving the kid and wanting to make sure it was ok. But it's also extremely personal and I don't see how my friend knew about it. What's your guys thoughts on the story? Her name was indeed Katmandu, not made up as a nickname. Olivia was a dog... or Tallulah

First time I heard it, also. The only Olivia I've heard of, then I found out it was a dog. They're with her in some old pics. xD Maybe it was some simple theory/story someone came up with and it was passed around? We'll never know... Lol ok. I was just wondering if anyone else ever heard of it or what they said. Is Olivia the little brown Chihuahua?

He doesn't really strike me as a chihuahua person and I can't see Lyn-Z with that kind of dog either. I know he has 2 dogs now.

Because it's Gerard. There's always more pictures of Gerard in the world than the rest of the band.

I didn't know that dog was his or that he had a dog named Olivia. I had stopped believing the story for it's entirety along time ago (even though my friend claimed it was true) I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was any truth to it at all.
