I hate jokes like that. I have several german friends that I'm very closed to and people say stuff like that too them all the time. "Oh you're German, you're a nazi". It's so stupid because they hate Hitler more than anyone else I know, including my jewish friends.

You're not the only one. I think it sort of like people's fascination with serial killers. It's like society's dirty little secret, we're sickened by it, but we can't turn away.
