If not for animal testing, we would all be dying out at 30, and small infections could kill you.
That is cold of you. I hope that when a very close family member starts dying slowly of a deadly disease that you rethink such an idea. People are so ignorant to those things unless it actually happens to them (and im not talking about your uncles cancer, im talking about mommy, daddy, husband, etc) |

But with medicine, although I do wish there was maybe another way, animal testing in necessary. |

And remember, animals are different to humans.
Some might have stronger immune systems and can withstand substances
that might prove fatal to humans, so it's not always good to do animal testing. |

Certain animals have certain traits in common with us - we have the same hips as emus, we share loads of DNA with mice and monekys, and most of our organs are the same as cats, especially the digestive system. |

its selfish for cosmetics, medical purposes have a reason. if it wasn't for animals testing we'd all die before we're two. it terrible to kill a animal, yes, but its completely necessary
and its not torture. torture is going through hours of pain.to make jello they kill the animal in a instant. it feels pain for a moment, but then they don't feel anything at all.
i know it may sound like I'm being heartless, but I'm just stating the truth. |

Fact: animals are used in the testing of pointless cosmetics, chemicals, and other superficial items that do not help humans.
I think that animal testing has its own merits, but you can't go overboard. Don't use the animal for testing if it's not going to help a significant amount of humans. You can test your new shampoo on yourself if you're so self-absorbed. |

Your life, as well of a good part of your friends, are all thanks to animal testing. All those shots we get as a baby came from animal testing. The reason people don't die from Mono, Lymes Disease, etc is thanks to animal testing. My sister caught BOTH in the past year (odd I know)
So apparently my sister's life isn't worth testing animals on. |

It's not like we're killing them for fun. It's not like, "Hey, that things not human; there's not point to letting them live! Let's shoot it!" It's the lesser of two evils. Allow millions of your fellow man to die, or kill some animals to save them. Pretty easy choice if you ask me.
Scientists know what they're doing. Certain animals share certain characteristics with humans. That's what scientists test on.
And penicillin was developed by testing on mice. |
