i really dont care about it at all, so long as it wasnt forced and no children are involved, obviously.

but i honestly do not see why it is a big deal, if anyone wants to watch, read or be involved with porn, then why should anyone else care?

^I agree^
If there are consenting adults involved, I don't think it's a problem. When people become addicted though, that's when the problems start.

I know that its probably never going to happen that porn will be banned, but i dont believe it is right.

A lot of people are says that 'as long as its not hurting anyone, its okay', and i havent read everyones arguments on here, but in case you didnt know, porn does hurt people.
Do you think the spouse that finds out that there husbands or wife has secretely been watching porn their entire marriage wont hurt them?
Do you think that it doesnt hurt some of the people that actually watch porn? It is being classified as an actual addiction, just like the drugs that people get addicted to, because of a chemical that is realeased when porn is viewed.

People are hurt by porn more often than not.

If someone wants to give themelves to others, then theres really nothing that can be done about it. But they need to keep it to themselves.

Plus, porn is completely physical. It helps contribute to societies need for the perfect look, and the drive to have sex. While i know that the last part is physical, it is also mental. If we as a society werent exposed to physical, sexually driven things, then dont you think there would be less things like teenage pregnancies, abortions, and other things like that?

To me, all porn really is is a lie to society about what priorities really should be, nd with out it, life could be a whole lot better

Porn can become addictive, but it usually doesn't.

I actually read an advice column once when a reader wrote in saying that she woke up in the middle of the night to find her husband watching porn in the living room. She said she didn't say anything but felt kind of upset, like she wasn't good enough. The columnist's advice was that porn once in a while isn't unhealthy to a relationship, it's like eating cold pizza for breakfast or something of that nature.

Bad Businessman?:

I think that people may be addicted to porn more than we may want to believe. and often times, people may not realize they are addicted.

this has happened to someone i know, and while i dont want to share his personal story on here, i can say that it wasnt something he realized he had a problem with till it was to late to easily deal with.
And by that point, he had gotten so deep into other things (relationships and stuff) that he had a lot of internal issues.

Hmmm... this is a tough one hey? I'm not against it. But the person watching it or whatever should do it knowing they'll have to take full responsibilty if they are hurting someone else doing so. Or whatever. If that even makes sense

I personally am not against it, but I do think it should be restricted quite a bit more than it is now. I remember walking into this record store, next to a couple radiohead posters was a next-to-naked Playboy model. I really wish I hadn't seen that, so I think that porn, or things that would be considered "indecent exposure" should only be sold in specially licensed shops, and ones that don't let minors in. About porn on the internet, I googled something, and there were so many porn ads on that site. So yeah, that's my two cents.

i think as long as all the people involved are consenting, it isn't a problem. I know it might hurt people in relationships, but if you don't want your partner watching/looking at porn, then you should tell them, and trust them not to. As AnythingButOrdinary said, keeping porn to liscenced shops is a good idea, because although it is supposed to be kept out of children's reach, often, kdis can get to it, which is not really right.#

Some people say it is degrading to women, but if they want to do it, it isn't really, because they aren't being forced to strip off to their bikini, and be paid for it. I think the main thing here is consent. If the participants are over the legal age, and they say they want to take part, and they can stop if they don't like something, then go ahead.

I think that before these questions can be adequately answered, we need to ask ourselves "what does sex mean to me?". Chances are, whatever answer you give to that question may greatly impact your answer to the Pornography questions........

Well, people watch pornography to fufill their sexual fantasy desires. Even if they are "getting enough", maybe they still would like to watch BDSM, but the partner doesn't like it.

Personally, I don't have any experience, but thats just what i think.

How so?

I personally see sex with an actual person as being meaningful, but I don't see pornographic sex as being meaningful because I'm not involved in it - I'm passive. I do enjoy it, but I keep it separate. So my view of sex with a partner is quite different from my view of pornography.

Is it different for others?

^ I completley agree, it is separate.

As 17 year old dude, I hope you can understand I'm not a total perv when I say "I love porn." Its just one of my many hobbies that gets me through they day and helps me relive stress. Yes, such involving children is discustingly wrong to say the least, and a solid 80% of internet porn is just gross, but I still enjoy and appreicate the other 20%.

I find the whole porn addiction a bit laughable. I mean come on, grow up and find some OTHER things to do! Anyway there are ways of knowing enough is enough, you can't go on forever; Things start to bleed after to much use, believe me I have friends who know from expirence.
Hope I didn't freak anyone out just know, I know I did when I heard it.

^ Yeah I know, it was late and I was tired.
Allow me to repharse that: "Get another hobby!" I expressed that porn was one of MANY hobbies I have, and thats how I believe it should work. It should not become an unhealthy obsesion to the point some can consider it an addiction. Then you've more then crossed the line.

i really don't care because it's that person's choice. we can't stop everyone from doing stuff like this -- apparently it's not illegal to have sex on TV and have others watch it.

i watch it. i won't lie. but it's something that people usually grow out of.

I'm all for porn.
Lonely people need some way to satisfy they're sexual needs.
Thats what porn is for.
If you dont like it then DON'T LOOK AT IT.
Its that easy.

Porn should be monitored by the government. There are way to many teenagers(From 14 to 25(I know that is more than teenagers)) who know what they are doing, but don't understand what it means to be in a porn. They don't understand that anyone and everyone will watch it, and eventually people they know will know about it.
Obviously child pornography should be completely eradicated but I think that you should have to be a certain age to participate in a porno, and that there should be people making sure that no one underage is being solicited or taking part in pornos
