I love it. With that out of the way, I'll explain why.

I watch porn that includes things I'm never going to do. I know full well I'd never enjoy being tied up and hanging from the ceiling or enjoy doing it to a woman but I still watch things like that. I've experimented with gay partners before and never enjoyed it, but I still watch gay porn from time to time and enjoy it a lot. I don't know why, maybe I'm just a voyeur and enjoy it because I'm not involved.

Porn should be monitored by the government.

And what would this do? Make alot of perverted political officials really happy? A new job for young men to go straight into politics, starting off as porn moderators? A reward for old national workers?

I get were you are coming from. Alot of stuff out there is gross, and kids get into it at a young age, which is unfortunate. But I'm not sure if more restrictions is the answer.
I for one get upset whenever theres someone really hot and then it turns out to be a tease for a paysite. Please just kindly leave me in peace with whatever worthwhile freesites I've managed to uncover. Thanks

I know that could never really be a solution. I wish people would just think more seriously about the consequences before taking part in it.
I am by no means against porn. I'm kind of a little pervert myself.... Naughty

It's kind of funny that most people on here admit to watching it and or enjoying, but it's not something you would normally say if someone asked you in person. (At least I wouldn't. I would be too embarrassed.)

^I personally have no qualms about admitting to watching porn, whether I'm doing it over the net or in person. Perhaps that's because I grew up in a relatively 'open' household, I don't know. But I personally am not ashamed of it.

Eponine:
Porn should be monitored by the government. There are way to many teenagers(From 14 to 25(I know that is more than teenagers)) who know what they are doing, but don't understand what it means to be in a porn. They don't understand that anyone and everyone will watch it, and eventually people they know will know about it.
Obviously child pornography should be completely eradicated but I think that you should have to be a certain age to participate in a porno, and that there should be people making sure that no one underage is being solicited or taking part in pornos

Easier said than done.

How is the government monitoring it going to help anything? It is easy to go down to any department store or shopping centre and buy a camera that takes film and photos. As long as there are cameras available to the general public, there will still be porn. And it is quite hard to tell the ages of people in porn, especially if they're older teenagers, but still under the age limit. And especially with the heavy makeup most of the female pornstars wear. Should the government regulate what people film and do in their own home? Or what people watch in their own home? Of course not. And with the Internet, it is so easy to distribute video footage and photography. So I doubt government monitoring would work, in my opinion anyway.

And there already is an age limit for who can appear in pornography. Doesn't mean people abide it, though. It would be nice to live in a world where child pornography, and indeed other forms of child abuse, were non-existent, but I fear that there will always be that exploitation. Call me pessimistic if you will, but I don't see how it can be completely eradicated.

As long as there are cameras available to the general public, there will still be porn - amateur porn. Even though it may be homemade, it is still naked people having sex and performing sexual acts. Should the government regulate what people film and do in their own home? Of course not. And with the Internet, it is so easy to distribute video footage and photography. So I doubt government regulation would work, in my opinion anyway.

I have already stated that it would be an unlikely and faulty solution.

And some people are very open about it, like you, but the vast majority of people would not admit to watching it. It was just a sort of observation. Most people here on INO are very open and unashamed so it doesn't really apply to any of us.

Well I can say from experience that guys have pretty much no trouble talking about such topics amongst themselves, or with friends. Its just a matter of having such a subject brought up in the conversation. Nobody wants to sound like a perv and just asking a blatant question...

But hats off to you chicks. I'm really surprised that this thread has even survived in such a female dominating forum. I guess that shows my lack of knowledge of female sexuality. oh well. ~ Rex

It's because women are secretly much more perverted than men. haha.
Well anyway,
Porn=good
child porn=heinous crime
participaing in porn=not a very good idea, if you don't want that stigma for you're whole life.

Ha, I've never been ashamed to admit it. Most of my friends are girls, but we all talk about porn. It's just something that we admit is human.

Nah, I'm going to have to disagree there. Yeah, a lot of underage people shouldn't be participating in it, but I think that if you genuinely want to be a pornstar (amateur or professional) and you're over 18 (or 21 in some countries) then I think they should go for it. It's just another job.

Well if that's what you want to do with your life then yes, but lots of students (college students) get suckered into making pornos because they desperately need the money.

^That's true. Like in Girls Gone Wild. GGW is more softcore porn, but these girls who are rounded up to appear in the movies aren't even paid at all, I believe.

Then at least half of all college goers are gonna forever be branded as sluts. I personally don't think its that definitive. If your young (and drunk) and want to go crazy and let loose, and nothing is stopping you. I don't think the video of you having sex is gonna haunt you forever....the lower back tattoo of Snoopy might.

Yes, I'm not a fan of all the vids of guys giving chicks texbook money just to service them, thats pretty lame and just weird. But I should also note that I love (consenting) armature college co-ed vids. Theres somethin bout the fact of them being real people, not just fake pornstars in some crazy fantasy that makes it quite appealing,

This is, in my world, an example of the phrase "To Good To Be True." As much as I try, I cannot see a time in the future were I can wrap my brain around such a statement.

Miss Murder:
As long as its made and watched by consenting people, whats the problem? Its not hurting anybody.
i agree, its not hurting anyone.
As long as they ahve the right criteria to watch it.

You are wrong, it is hurting people. The 'consenting adults' who watch it, yeah, some have families. A pornography addiction can rip families apart similair to drugs. It's like having an affair. The spouse feels they aren't as good as the pictures, they were never good enough. The children are upset that one parent doesn't want the other parent anymore, like in a divorce. And the rest of the family, uncles, aunts. siblings, parents, are just ashamed.

I agree with the first comment on this thread, it is wrong, end of story.

^That, to me, is an extreme case. An analogy-what about gambling? I know people get addicted to that, it hurts people that way, and it can rip families apart too, because of financial difficulties and whatnot. But the people who only do it "casually"...does it hurt them? No. Aside from a being a couple-or a lot- of dollars poorer, there really isn't an effect. And, gambling is not illegal.

If they're drunk, it's not exactly consensual sex.
But regardless, a sex tape is not a good thing to have just hanging around in your closet.
And yeah, it WILL haunt you.
You're never going to be able to get a number of jobs, and even if you do, if you're in any position of power and that comes out, it will affect your job.
The working world isn't like Hollywood, where a sex tape is no biggie.
If you're in college, they can revoke your scholarship, you can get kicked out of your sorority/fraternity, you can even get kicked out.

It's probably different from country to country or place to place, because I can't see my University kicking me out if I appeared in porn. As far as I'm concerned, what happens in my private life / in the bedroom (i.e removed from my academic life) shouldn't, theoretically, affect my studies.

I think it's wrong, as do most of us. But you have the people who just don't really care and think it's cool. And your right it can rip families apart. But I guess everyone has their own opinions.
