Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | September 21st, 2007 at 12:51pm just the right event to celebrate end of uni... "mama, we all go to hell"...maybe not in that sense.
yeah, mcr at the end of 14 weeks of uni is enough to make me content that these holidays will be devoted to assignments. Basically I have 4 more weeks after the 2 week break then i'm pretty much done, no exams but lots of sleepless nights expected. |

Oh really?
Wow, after the holidays I have another 5 or 6 weeks =[
And then one exam, for Public Relations, which I'n not expecting to be anything difficult lol.
But farrrrrrrrk.
Communication Research is honestly the most painful subject ever.
If I even manage to get like, 51% in that I will be stoked.

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | September 21st, 2007 at 01:29pm yeh i'd say you should be happy with whatever you can do. Like, the people in my course are neat-perfectionist fanatics (i'm a mild case of one, or i'm just saying that because future designers should be like that to some degree) - we just handed in a dye project, & people's fabrics have these amazing colours & patterns. Mine compared, is like- blob. I've just given up getting depressed over what I can't do (yet). It's just- 'whatever' lol. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1274 | September 22nd, 2007 at 12:25pm I deferred a few weeks back, and it's pretty much the smartest decision I've made in quite a while. Hopefully I'll get into one of the courses I'm applying for, for next year. I would looooovvvveeee to get into Next Generation Arts at Melbourne Uni, but I'm not gonna hold my breath |

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | September 23rd, 2007 at 12:38pm ^ I said the same thing, in hindsight, after taking a leave of absence last year. Best of luck getting into the course you want. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1274 | September 23rd, 2007 at 01:13pm Thanks. If I can't I don't think I'll go back, I'm too lazy to apply myself to anything that doesn't completely captivate me. I like going to lectures and tutorials and learning shit, but when it comes down to assignments, I really can't be fucked, I know I can write a decent essay, but I can't get myself to put all that effort in if I don't really care. |

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | September 23rd, 2007 at 01:16pm that's a good idea, deferring. & what's Next Generation Arts?? sounds like something exciting!
I was about to defer for a whole year, but I had no idea what to do with myself for that time so i didn't & I'm glad I didn't! I somehow found motivation...? like, from nowhere? |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 1274 | September 23rd, 2007 at 01:26pm It's Melb. Uni's fancy smancy pants new system, which is basically everyone does a really generalised degree first, either Arts, Science or I think Commerce, and then if you wanna do something specialised like law etc, you do that in a post grad bit afterwards. It'd suit me really well, seeing as I can't stand feeling rushed to pick my majors etc. |

I still have a 2000 word essay to write, and 200 words of a 1000 word one (it was going to be 1500, but because we have to do two essays for german, and one is 1500 and one is 1000, i just decided that i'd do the 1000 word one... but i'm so going to run out of room...)

I have no idea if I have to resubmit one of my assignments or not =/
Apparently half the people doing the course had to resubmit it, and our teacher told us he'd email us last Monday telling us our results, and I still haven't heard how I went.
And the deadline to resubmit assignments is tomorrow.

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 2188 | October 1st, 2007 at 12:26pm I am crazily doing needlework, beading & embroidery which is killing my holidays, except it's now an excuse to sit there & listen to some new hardcore music i've found. Mum says i'm a legend for such a contrast.
c'mon sez, spit out those thousands of words! lol, i cannot write essays for the life of me, but we all mutually understand what stress means. |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 1416 | October 1st, 2007 at 03:58pm haha, well I finished my German one, now i'm 1372 words into the Geography one... Except that about 900 of that I lifted straight out of the oral that my friend and I did on this topic, and unfortunately we've both taken it... so we both have to rephrase. Hopefully that won't take too long though! Sigh. Okay, only 200 more words, then introduction and conclusion. I can do this! |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 1416 | October 1st, 2007 at 05:43pm Hahaha, I just used the Tour thread to demonstrate my point (that Adelaide is crap) because ' The city also hosts large music festivals such as Womad and Big Day Out, however, it often misses out on many larger, international bands which go to only the Eastern states on their Australian tours, such as Fall Out Boy, Paramore, The Killers, and Black Sabbath. '
Sez = full of shit.
