In This Field of Rain
There is no dry,
In a field of rain
Just sitting there,
We take the pain,
But, oh, for an umbrella,
For an arm-less fool
Who’s bleeding out
Into a pool,
It’s frosty, it’s dark,
Rain mingles with fear
A fear to be sitting
Out in the clear,
Yes, I’m not alone, but
For all the smiles, I sigh,
It’s still raining
As I fall back and die. |

She was an egg-shell walker,
Every moment, every day,
But one day she realized
“Can’t live life this way”
With great sorrow, pain,
She shook with despair,
Having lost joy and memory
To an eggshell there,
Perfect, polite, always loving,
She never broke a rule,
‘Til one day she sat down
And realized the FOOL,
“I’m an egg-shell walker,”
Her misty eyes say—
Through a veil of pain, she cries,
At the life thrown away. |

She’s crying,
Been crying for days,
But the sad thing is,
They don’t see through her haze,
Today, tomorrow,
Maybe next week,
A head smack,
To see if you aren’t weak,
Now take a bow,
As the curtains go down,
It’s all you’ll see
Of her infinite frown |

I wonder where your inspiration for such words comes from...o:
In other words, absolutely kickass, dear.

If you’ve ever smelled fire
In the freezing rain,
It’s the sweetest smell
Laced with pain.
Oh you cannot know
Where it’s from,
You’ll know death surely,
When it comes.
The face is shaking,
Wet to the bone,
But the fire smells like
You’re not alone.
If shadows killed you,
No one knew,
Rain washes away
The saddest few.
So be silent, be steady,
And brave,
When the fire’s gone,
The rain won’t save. |

Misery, misery,
Where is your heart?
Tearing and eating,
What’s left, but a part?
Hearing the bells,
Chiming out to three,
Remember, memory,
You’re not like me,
Misery, misery,
I’m really not well,
In the corner, cowering,
But I’ll never tell,
Heaven, hell,
That in-between place,
We all stare death,
Right in the face,
Where are you? Where are you?
We stare at the bells,
Trying to pull back,
From our bitter hells,
I might know, I won’t show,
How people all lie,
Until our heads lay down,
We won’t ever die. |

Silence was the murder weapon,
She plucked it from her hair,
Fingered through its inner contents,
To only find despair—
To make a heart with two fingers,
Another with brittle lips,
Close the door, my angel lingers,
To hear the veil as it rips—
Your heavy crying brings us laughter,
In the form of broken “tries”,
Hello mother, have a mirror?
We break it to cement the lies—
I see the world in different colors,
Each memory of birds shot down,
If only we could “return to sender”,
As a vacant smile turns to frown—
I always knew what killed her insides,
Sitting there she’s crying out,
Red velvet tears change to walls now,
Muffling her final shout—
So murder was the final pastime,
We sewed it into her scalp,
Memories will always haunt them,
For never helping out. |

Nails against chalkboard.
Red on your lips.
Nothing but silence.
As heaven rips.
Tell me a story.
Eyes go to the right.
Breathing is panicked.
Consumed by the light.
Hell likes flowers.
Keep pulling your hair.
Know this isn’t real.
And nothing’s there.
Everything’s torn.
While heartbeats tremble.
War is the new taste.
That humans resemble.
I feel good.
But she’s half gone.
Body like shredded wheat.
And blood like dawn.
March with me mortal.
Your bones are crushed.
Heaven’s death is like sound.
Silenced and hushed.
It’s all dead now.
Hell broke down.
Heaven lay bleeding.
While humans frown.
You’re going nowhere.
Stay and rot with me.
Understand you were dead.
Before you ever knew me.

So. All three of these poems are absolutely wonderful. I really like What's Your Murder Weapon? . <3
Also, I love the last stanza of The Dead Shall Remain . Its powerful, very powerful; but the first two lines really caught my eye. xD
Amazing work, once again, my dear friend. |
