The Open Book - "My ribs are the binding
That holds a bleak life
My fingers are the murderer
That stabs with a knife—"

Premonition

It happened when
I looked in your eyes,
I saw myself,
Saw all my lies

For a minute
I was but a teen,
Had my life, my dream,
But what does it mean?

Get out, get out
Oh I am your fate,
A broken husk,
Destroyed by hate

I am that hero
Who never caught on,
A misdemeanor,
Who left you gone

Hey, I saw your eyes,
So fresh and full of life,
Don’t let them hurt you
With their wicked knife

So good-bye, walk on,
Never try to be,
Or just look in that mirror—
And you will see.
Your Ghost.
Thinking Happy Thoughts
Your Ghost.

The Teenage Mortician

Are you happy?
Do you quake in fear?

Hate your mother.
Hate your father.
But when you hate,
You’re denying with a shove.

True sadness isn’t him,
Certainly not her.
True sadness is air,
Breathe in, breathe in.

Are you crying yet?
Do you want to forget?

Death.
It’s your mother.
It’s your father,
The teacher in a room;
The best friend in your seat.

Blood tracing into a net.
Pull in, pull in.

That honestly took my breath away. You surprise me every time. You are an inspiration, at least to me, to hopefully write poems as beautiful as you. Nice one, once again.(:

Something really weird is going on. Every time you write a poem I find something in my life that is described to a T by it.
That, and a half-inflated balloon from a couple of weeks ago has been following me around my house all night. ...supernatural, maybe?...I would hope but I know I'm too boring for anything to haunt me. Oh well.

Awesome poems as always. I'd like to see you do something more flowy, more with sentences (I think I've said this before, so sorry if I'm repeating stupid stuff) and verbs, but I know your style is curt and staccato, which fits quite perfectly on its own as well.

Story of My Life

Sick of people asking
Why I seem to be masking
Yet they can’t ever know
The reason I’m afraid to show,

How would they understand?
Why speak a word silenced by hand
Call me freak, call me mistake
It’s my fucking life at stake,

All around there are eyes
Trying to kill me with lies
Paranoid? Maybe
But I won’t let that change me,

I’ve lost it all
My life seeming to stall
Only thing left in the end
Decided to stop being my girlfriend,

So say what you want
I’m not here to flaunt
Taking the only ray I require
I’ll dare to walk that fine wire.

So true. Maaaannn you're good.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it.

I'm sorry I've been absent for a LONG while, but I promise, it's not permanent.
Thanks for being patient. ^_^
