 | July 6th, 2008 at 06:53am Oh my God. I forget. It was a long time ago. Maybe it was in 1st grade or something. I never listened to any of their songs back then, though. I was one of the brainwashed idiots who were convinced they were "emo," so I didn't check their music out or anything. I probably wouldn't have liked it back then, anyway. |

Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 19 | July 7th, 2008 at 01:13am My house. My friend had burned me a CD but she hadn't told me exactly what was on it. She said that there was a bunch of Pink Floyd stuff near the end so I went around thinking Famous Last Words was by Pink Floyd for weeks.
(Poor misguided me!) Then she woke us up for a debate tournament with Teenagers....And I haven't been the same since. |

Age: 13 Gender: Female Posts: 32 | July 16th, 2008 at 06:02pm I was at edgefest 06 in frisco tx. Helena video came on the jumbo tron between bands. I was there by myself. And this girl I was sitting by was singing along to it. When the video went off I asked her who that band was. She grabbed a sharpie and wrote on my arm three words that changed my life. My Chemical Romance. |
Hotel Bella Muerte. Thinking Happy Thoughts
Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 356 | July 16th, 2008 at 06:13pm I was young when I heard about them. I loved teen mags specifically J-14 (I don't read teen mags anymore!). One day I had to clean my room and I found my stash of J-14s and I flipped through one and I saw their "Hot or Not" section. I found My Chemical Romance in the "Hot" side and this other band in the "Not" side! I still remember what photo was used of the band! After staring at the MCR photo threw it away. Now that I look back at it... I wish that I decided to start listening to them... :'[ But but but, I did eventually! |
California Burning Ill-Housed And Ill-Advised
Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 183 | July 17th, 2008 at 01:20am At school. I'd seen people with MCR merch and stuff, so I eventually decided to check them out. At first I thought they were really weird. And the Demolition Lovers image on TCFSR kinda scared me a little bit, so it took me a little while to muster up the courage (and the money) to buy the album. |
