If anyone calls mcr emo fags, they obviously don't know what they are talking about. If you have a hard time dealing with people who are like that, make a joke out of what they say or just be like "it's your opinion, not mine." and walk away.
If someone said to me "My Chem are emo fags" I'd probably say "Yes they are, Gerard and Frank totally make out on stage all the time!!" and laugh. People are just trying to piss you off.

The whole point behind Frerard is something you can either explain to your parents and hope they understand or just not tell them. If you think your parent will understand then you shouldn't need to worry about seeing MCR with them.
I'm 15 and I don't plan to tell my mom about Frerard, Waycest, etc. She just might find another reason to tell me music (in general) is a bad influence on me,

What Gerard and Frank do on stage is nothing compared to some other bands.

That's true. I think my mom would probably understand it, it's just a rock thing.

I just haven't told her...she doesn't know much about my music anyway. How would you start a conversation like that anyway? "Yeah, mom, with this band I like, the rhythm guitarist and frontman randomly make out on stage sometimes. I hope it doesn't bother you."

I haven't had to deal with people shooting insults at My Chem seeing as I'm an introvert who isn't all that outwardly obsessive, but...er, we'll see how it goes.

Hey! Firstly im a n00b. This is actually my first post so be nice! I just wanted to say that i think what the boys do onstage encourages an open minded attitude and for that reason its great. The raunchiness etc of their live show doesnt detract from the music unless you're a teenie who lets it do that. I dont think it should upset anyone at all but people are entitled to their opinion. I think the main problem here is that its being taken too seriously.

"There’s definitely a trashy, x-rated vibe to our live set. Its mainly to put off homophobes but also because as seriously as you take this, you can’t take yourself that seriously. So its like aggressive, softcore, gay porn. There’s a little man love, maybe some smooching, definitely some crotch grabbing. I definitely used to fuck the monitors."

Gerard said this in an issue of Rock Sound, i'm sure some of you have seen it before. So yeah dont take their behavious so seriously. I dont think MCR should have to worry about whether their audience is old enough to see 2 men make out or whatever. They've been like that since the beginning. If peoples parents get upset, well all i can say is fuck them. Its been a part of MCR from the beginning.
Sorry for that being so longwinded! Lol i had a lot to say but didnt quite know how to say it!

Sowing Season:

I was thinking the same thing too. But then it dawned on me that TBP gave them a whole new set of fans so those kids had no idea how dirty this band actually is. Razz Now they're discovering the true My Chemical Romance.

I definately agree there. I think with TBP My chem became a bit more 'child-friendly' or at least, they came across that way. Before TBP, and especially before Revenge, kids parents wouldn't have even thought about letting their kids listen to MCR. You know, back in the day when they played with fake blood splattered all over their faces.
Like I have said, there are definately more so called 'inappropriate' things about MCR than Frerard.

Veeolin:
I didn't say anyone was less of a fan because they write fanfictions. I didn't say it was the band's opinoin, I said it was my own. I dunno. I just...don't like it. o.0

I can understand your opinion, and I respect that.
It's just when you said it's disrespectful, it was basically implying that you think that writing it is disrespectful, therefore making me disrespectful towards the band I love most because I do.
If that's not what you meant, then I'm sorry I got kinda angry.

Just sorta jumping in randomness: One of my friends,he's a sevvie prolly 11 years old went to the concert, and of course I was hounding him for every detail. I just noticed all he was telling me about was the bases thing and how they were making out. He didn't mention the music,or any speeches. Then I asked him about linkin park's set and he started going on and on about how amazing the performance was. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say Smile Discuss maybe?

You know, I heard the Frerard thing was to scare off the homophobes and show that theyre not afraid or something along those lines. Also, Frank just came out of the closet about being BI I heard so yeah..its not THAT BAD. Like "ZOMG LIEK THATZ SO0O0 WR0NG!" kinda thing but they have a reason for it all.

With TBP some people started wondering what happened to the real My Chem, now they are back with a vengeance and not everyone is happy... I don't really mind, however the taking off of the shirts was a bit weird and "un"MCR to me, it made me feel uncomfortable like watching something I'm not supposed to see...lol. Hey but its all in good fun (at least that's what I believe) and giving a good show, people are paying good money to see a rock show and thats what they are getting.

Well he's 11. No offense to all the younger kids. For example, my 9 years old cousin if he's watching a movie and there is one swear in the movie if you ask him about the movie he will just talk about how someone said a bad word. Even if there was a million other funny parts in the movie. A million more important things, that will be the only thing he focuses on. Seeing guys kissing and touching themselves is probably not normal for your friend so it stuck out in his mind. Where as Linkin Park all they do is sing so you're going to remember singing because that's all you got.

When someone asks me how a My Chem show was even if there was Ferard, Waycest, Frikey, Gob, and Rerard at my show I would still mention the set list first. Boy Love only overshadows the music if you let it. You're in complete control of that.

HUH? Taking off their shirts.. ?

Okay..

What?! Explain.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with 'Frerard', if the boys are having a good time, that is good. People shouldn't take it seriously and certainly shouldn't let the Boylove cloud their love for music. I find it acceptable, but towards parents and younger children it is usually deemed inappropriate. But, you don't see A LOT of youngins going to their shows...

I see you point.
But if a person only liked them because they kiss on stage and etc, they are not a true fan.
I personally don't let it distract me from their music. I mean,I wouldn't mind seeing it live, but I don't just like them for that. I like them for their music.

i think it skinda gross if they really r gay..... but that there choice and its not gonna change my veiw of there music, the music is addictive and the way the act on stage doesnt change that. i saw them live in L.A, and i dont remember seeing them doing anything like that, but i could have just been rocking out during that part... lol, yeah its a bit wierd but who cares, it doesnt chenge there music.

Gerard made all the men take of their shirts. He went under Franks legs and was like "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, oh." while Frank was rubbing Gerards head. It was fucking sexy. Then he was like, "First basseee, second base, third baseeee, HOMMMME BASE!" and he did that thing with his tongue. He was like, "I want everyone to watch my ass right now." and he started shaking it and said how he got the moves from Mr. Toro. drool

I can still be a huge fan of their sexual acts and like their music at the same time. There's no law that makes me not a true fan because I am. I respect them in so many ways.
