gnihsams snikpmup.:

Phones don't chemically alter your judgment skills, last time I checked.

And btw, where I live it's illegal, much like marijuana, to talk on your phone and drive.

They don't, and it's not the same as drugs; I was just pointing out that they do impair your judgement, if only for the time you are using them.

I believe it's the same in my area, or if it is not laws have been proposed which would make it illegal. But that hasn't stopped really anyone from doing it.

Iwasn't saying mobile phones we as dangerous though, but i understand your points.

I was just saying that we do many things every day that could harm us in the long term, that we just do anyway. So that argument against week doesn't really stand with me. I do understand what you were saying though, you both make valid points.

True. And I think that's just human nature-- something works for us now; I'm guessing feeling high, talking to your friends (on a phone but while driving), or eating fast food might feel good to us now, so we don't stop and think about the consequences. But for some things more than others, even if we did, it could be one of those "there's a very small chance anything bad will really happen" things. And maybe that's what it's like for an addict-- they smoke weed, it alters their perception and they don't think it's bad, so from there they move on to harder drugs and pretty much dig a hole for themselves. Not that some people haven't gotten out before they were in too deep

A lot of people think that weed is a gateway drug, but most of the potheads I know only prefer the pot.

Maybe that's the case for the people you know, but there are undoubtedly many, many people who do not just stick to weed, and move onto different drugs.

I think people want to do drugs especially teenagers as it something thats not allowed, so of course you want to see what its like and rebel lol

I did... but i wouldnt do it again, as i can see how addictive it can get!

Both my brothers did them, and it caused depression in one of them! i think its stupid to do drugs though, your putting your health at risk.... but there is a lot of hype about it, and alot of pressure to do them when your friends at doing them...
