My bad Yes, prostitution is prohibited in Las Vegas. Why do you believe prostitution should be legalized? Provide more valid evidence in your own opinion to back your statement up.

If it will stop the spreading of sex-disseses, I'm for it. But, it won't, because that's not the way that world works. Pimps will still continue to recruit young girls, they will continue beating the crap out of the other girl if they haven't made enough money. TThey will still be mistreated and abused if not murdered. I'm against it. There are numerous escort agencies, that are the cover for prostitution and the government isn't doing much to stop it. They keep looking the other way. So, I partially blame them for the fact that it's spreading faster than ever. When it comes to pimps beating the crap out of a poor woman, they spend the night or two in prison and then they're free to beat her again. Or they'll just bail themselves out. i completely agree. Though i rather feel sorry for women who are stuck like this. The main reason they do this is because they couldn't work for anything else and it was a quick way of getting money. When they want to stop they cant because their pimps wont allow them to, so they're in the business until they get a break of some sort.

[/font] Of course, there would still be some cruelty in prostitution, from those free-lancer prostitutes, or the pimps still in business, but you are forgetting one major part of the equation here. The government's greed. If they can make money from it, they will. And to do that, they would have to make sure that the standards were up and that the accessability is up so that people would want to head on down to the local government owned brothel and give them money. I say brothel, because it would be easiest to sell sex if the location was set and able to be better controlled. People want high quality product, so if the government legalized it, they would have to put up standards and protective measures. Their greed demands it. And that greed would protect the girls.

Unfortunately that same greed opens them up to bribes by illegal pimps etc.

Wjat do we get out of it? apart from sexually transmitted diseases, unworthy money and the off chance of getting pregnant. dont you think it is really disgusting? It should be banned in every country all over the world, prostitution isnt a way to make money, its a way to lose all of your dignity.

Do you honestly think people want to sell sex? I think most of the time It's because people feel like it's a last resort. I think it's upsetting. I don't think it should be legal. It's going to keep hapening though. I don't know what they should do.

You may not like it, but you earned it, and you can feed yourself with it, rather than resorting to conning someone or theft. Also, why should something be banned world wide just because part of the population deems it "disgusting"? I guess homosexuality, trans-gendered peoples, pornography, anal sex, oral sex, etc, should all be banned. It's the freedom of choice, love. A person's body is theirs and theirs alone, what they chose to do with it is their decision, and whether or not they want to rent it to someone else for a while is completely up to them. A lot of people are in the prostitution industry by choice. Even more are there because their bodies are the only thing they have left that they can sell to make enough money to survive.

Frankie-Oreo Salute You in Your Grave Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 2818	April 23rd, 2007 at 03:50am i think it should be legalised, unfortunately, there are alot of men (and women) that society find to be "ugly" or "wrong". that measn that indecently shallow people will turn them away when they ask for a date or something. escorts,(or prostitutes) give these people the chance to feel happy, loved(even if its for one night) and sexualy refreshed(yeah, not a great choice of words) because i think one (or several) nights of happiness (for a small fee) is alot better than people dying alone and unhappy. this may sound stupid or ignorant, but give them a chance to feel loved at least once.
