hence why when a person decides to hold a seance or use an ouija board, they are strongly cautioned? so many bad things can go wrong, such as contacing the wrong dead or wrong and spirits, and so on. before even deciding to hold one, the person should have read a lot of stuff on it before deciding to go ahead and do it -- playing around with the dead is not something that should be taken lightly.
and, you cannot tell someone otherwise what to believe in, and you cannot say for sure that magic and ghosts aren't real.

I think that's very real.

But...what kind of spells would it be? I mean, they can't really turn people into toads. What would their spells do?

I do happen to believe that Magick is possiable and that spirits do exist.

Well you obviously can't transfigure things because people don't have the ability to do that.
It's more like using positive thoughts and energy to achieve what you want. As long as you concentrate on what you want, it works fairly well.
There are all sorts of different spells depending on what you want. There are ones to protect your house, to get rid of bad dreams, to give you confidence, protect yourself against enemies, even spells for clearer skin and changing your eye colour.
I don't know about spells that you cast directly onto people, because I avoid that, but I know that there are good spells aimed at protecting yourself which won't really rebound on you because you aren't casting anything onto a person.

they are forms of energy that is created by the mind
they are dead people who's soul did not completely die
they are people who still have duties on earth that need to be finished

I think ghosts are whatever you believe them to be.
You can't prove they exist, nevermind why they exist... so just whatever you think fits best really.

I'd say it's probably best to just let the spirit contact you, unless you know what you're doing.

well, the reason I am asking is because I dont know what Im doing and would like help. I have always been interested in the paranormal and just want to encounter a spirit. could anyone guide me in the right direction?
