Magic, Magick, Ghosts & the Supernatural

This topic is my new home. <3

Anyways. I am a strong believer in the paranormal. I do prefer the term 'paranormal' to 'supernatural' because nothing is not natural. Everything is natrual. Spirits are as real, and as natural as anything, personally. A great website if you are interested in spirits and whatnot is TAPS. Great site. If you go to the message boards and want to ask me more questions or chat or something, I'm registered as TeenagexLobotomy.

I'm also a deep believer in Magick. I'm studying Wicca, and practicing when I can. =] It's very, very interesting. I've learned alot in the past few weeks. I also find the Tarot very interesting, (I found the most awesome deck ever, The Vampire Tarot). This is an also a great website if you're interested in these kinds of things.

i know someone that says she can see ghosts/spirits but i dont know what i think about it. but whether you believe in ghosts isnt something you can decide on the spot or whatever anyway. there must be some place that people's spirits go before they pass on. seeing all those fakes that lie about having "the gift" makes me doubtful sometimes. same with magic

It's not nessisarily a 'gift' per say. Sometimes it's refered to as that, but really, it's just sensitvity. Some people can and some people cant. =] Like, I can see and sense spirits, and I'm trying to increase my skills to become a Medium, but no one else in my house can, and thing I'm a total loony because there's a spirit in my house. My parents dont believe me. XD

But, it's also a matter of believing. That's where it gets so sticky, because usually it's only believers and skeptics to see the spirits, and recognize them for what they are. If you believe and see a spirit, (hopefully after figuring all the natrual causes for what you saw, and drawing the conclusion that it wasnt anything normal), and say it's a spirit, it probably is. Like, I know for a fact that a two foot wide almost seven foot tall cold spot in the middle of my room isnt normal. But someone who didnt believe would find somehow to explain it besides a spirit. =]

Totally there with you on that one, i would find a spot like that and it would interest me as to what kind of spirit/entity created it, my family would too, but my inlaws would be off complaining about the draft that comes under the door and tell me the house is no good! lol!

I do believe in ghosts, partly because strange things have been happening ever since we moved here and partly because I have an odd way of thinking. Sometimes when I'm on the computer I can feel a sort of (don't know how to put this) energy behind me but no one'll be there. Or the time when my door just decided to close by itself when my sisters were upstairs and I was on the computer, the dog was on my bed. And I don't think I'll ever forget the floating trashbag and loud footsteps running up the stairs when I was little, that's the main reason I believe in ghosts/spirits.


I find Wicca and magick really interesting, my friend's mom studies it but I don't personally know anyone who practices it. I know Wicca/witch craft makes you more, I guess you could say attatched or in tune, to Earth, but does it go deeper than that?

I do believe in ghosts and spirits. Me and my friend have had some experiences with ghosts/spirtis because every year my family and my friends family go to this place called fairbridge, its really old and it used to be and orphange years and years ago and last year we went for new year and we went to the cemetary where all the orphans were buried and it was at about 10:00 and me and friend sorta got lost and i swear i saw this white glowing...figure i guess you could call it out in the distance and it looked like a young girl wearing a white dress sorta thing like one of those olden day ones. It wasn't scary or anything, but it did sorta freak me out. And then the next morning my mum came in my room and she told me that the night before she saw a young girl on walking along the veranda of one of the houses, in a white olden day dress, just liek the one i saw. There have been other instances i've experienced with ghosts/spirits but cant be stuffed writing them.

My friends mum also studies wicca and witchcraft, all that sorta stuff, and i mean i dont fully understand it but it does interest me, and i do believe in the paranormal, like Vermillion i prefer the term paranormal to supernatural. Im interested though in studying wicca...i think it sounds very interesting and you could really learn alot from it.

I'm scared shitless of them.

I had some experiance though.

Like [ this is serious , I am not joking or making this up. ] I was copying Kurt Cobain information from one site to another , when my printer started freaking out. [ I didnt' press any print buttons or I didn't open word ] It just went nuts.
So as I was saying , the printer started printing this one sentence.
It wasn't suicide
It freaked me out so bad.
The problem was, that night , I was home alone , all the doors were locked and it was dark outside.
My dog was laying next to me , staring into space , he was following something with his head that wasn't there. [god this is hard to write cause it brings back memories and I'm so scared of them ]
I just focused on the computer , nothing else , even though I was shaking.
Then , I heard this noise , it sounded like I don't know how to explain it , youknow you have these boxes that when you open them there comes this relaxing music out of it? Well something like that.
So I turned up my music very loud.
The printed paper was still next to me , I picked it up and put it on my table.
The next morning it was gone.
I asked to everyone [ my dad, mum and bro ] if they saw it or threw it away but they didn't see anything.
I'm still searching for that paper.
My mom thinks I'm imagening stuff 'cause I'm scared.
I am not.

I heard a door close several times when I'm on the computer and no one was home.
I feel energy behind me , when there is no one behind me at all.

It goes much deeper than that and i would need a day or more to write all about it, lol! try googling it or going to your local bookstore and see what you can find.

^i'm confused by your statement - you say that they aren't real but then go on to say that there are evil spirits but you just can't see them.....spirits and ghosts are very similar things, in fact i would go so far as to say they are the same, how can you say one exists and the other doesn't?

Just as a curiousity question how did you arrive at your statement that magic etc is not real? I'm not picking a fight i would just like to know why or what made you believe so?

also you may believe that they don't exist but i don't think it's fair of you to say the end like that, some of us do believe and i think by saying that you are nullifying our beliefs and opinions, or making it seem like our opinions don't matter. I feel that everyone's opinion matters.

spirts and ghosts one is linked to our world from a tradgic event like a murder some just cant handle the fact that their dead and they go on as if they were living not even knowing if theyre dead or alive in mexico they even have a holiday for these beings ceinco demio (or day of the dead) a holiday where they celabrate their loved ones that have passed on and they can walk again on this earth

^day of the dead is celebrated on the 1st of November and it is also an extention or add on to the more commercialised holiday of halloween or all hallows eve - so basically the day before all hallows or day of the dead

I don't believe in Magic or Magick.
I do believe in ghosts, on a Christian view. I believe that when you die, your soul goes to one of three places: Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. I think that Heaven and Hell are on different places and planes, but Purgatory is on earth on a different plane. What I have theorized is that sometimes the planes between earth and Purgatory cross, and what you get is some souls in Purgatory visible on our plane. And I think there are souls that realize this, too, and so they either help/mess with humans, whatever the ghost fancies.
As for supernatural, I believe in scientific explainations for some things like werewolves and such, but I'm not going to get into that.

yeah it seems that way when you watch it. What i also dont like are those "psychics" that go into these houses and you know that they don't know anything they are just hamming it up for the camera's. You can tell the real ones a mile away.

Depends on your definition of a ghost. There is something. Although I'm not exactly sure of what. I have seen everything from shadows, to really pale people with no faces, to cats that disappear in mid-air. if they are not real, then they exist in peoples heads. So they have to exist, its just a matter of where they do. And I feel inclined to say they are not in everybody's head.

i also heard that sometimes when you get so amzingly stressed (more then everyday stress...like life changing stress.) that you can move objects with your mind. this is often the cause of what people believe is paranormal activity...i know it sounds really farfetched but i though i'd share that.

Telekinesis can actually be reproduced in a laboratory. It's also the explanation for most poltergeist reports.

There is a difference between illusions and magic/magick. the magic/magick that this topic is about is referring to spells etc.

I belive in ghosts 100%. I belive that my house does have an afterlife spirit in it. i have witnessed many things in my house and my parents dont belive me. i really want to contact them in some sort of way i just dont know what would be best, do you?
