IcyColdNights:
I'm just gonna rant for a second, Mkay?

Okay, so there's this girl, and she wears the way-stereotypical "scene" look. (I'm not labeling - she's called herself scene loads of times, so it's obvious she dresses like that to be "unique". "Unique" meaning exactly like hundreds of other kids out there) So, yeah, I have this notebook that's covered in pics of MCR, and she grabs it from my hands and goes "Oh, you like MCR?" I'm not about to lie to her, or something, because I'm a proud MCR fan, so I go "Yeah, I do." She gives me this evil look and goes "Poser". I was so stunned, that all I could do is stick up my middle finger. I just stood there, middle finger in the air ( I guess it's a bit of a reflex, now LOL) gaping at her. I got her back later though - don't ask how, it was messy ( I ended up in the principle's office)

There have been other times too, this one sticks out in my memory, cause it was so random - I've hardly even talked to her.

Shes calling YOU a poser? What about her calling herself 'scene'?
Now calling yourself scene makes you a poser....

My_Innocent_Romance1:
I wore a MCR black parade shirt in church one time by accident.
I was escorted from the church for being part of a 'suicide cult'.
My grandmother had a talk with me on the way home.
I even had to stay outside for 3 hours while my G-ma was in church.
She told me that "Being Gothic is one thing and wearing black is another."
The kids at my school found out because alot of them goto that church.
And I was shoved, had lit matches and razor blades thrown at me, I was called slut, whore, suicidal, loner, The counciler even had to talk to me.

Being goth isnt a bad thing. it never was. Goth has been around for about a 100 years or more. Goth's are usually christian. So what the hell are they talking about?

thats fucked up...getting razor blades thrown at you. I woulda punched them

Well, I've been called emo tons of times. But that's mostly because one of my friends, I introduced her to panic as the disco and she got into MCR around TBP, decided to declare herself "The Emo Jesus" because of that. And because I sometimes hang out with her, wear dark clothes, and listen to MCR everyone thinks I’m emo too.

There was this guy I really really liked and he liked me too, we even went on a few dates but someone told him I was a MCR fan and he came up to me and told me he never wanted to see my suicidal emo face again. I was like WTF? Now he's going out with my "Emo Jesus" friend. (Ironic, no?)

So me and my friends decided to sit at the picnic table under the tree at school and a lot of prep-ish people usually sit there. Well, so me and my friends are sitting there not bothering anyone at all, and suddenly one of the preps turns to me (notices my MCR shirt) and calls me an "Emo my chemical suicide Nazi." and then their friends turn on my group and tell us to go die because no one in the world loves us and we're all just worthless and stuff like that. We don't want to start anything so we get up to leave and they start throwing rocks at us. Yeah, rocks - like they're stoning witches or something. It gets worse, they start tying sticks together like crosses and throwing those at us too (I kid you not, people) and one of those crude crosses got my best friend in the eye. All the while they're shouting about how we need Jesus and we're all going to hell.
You wanna know the best part of all? The teachers standing around didn't do anything. Nothing. At all.

I've been called emo, of course.
That's never fails.

Surprisingly in my redneck town, I haven't really had that much crap said to me.
I think it's 'cause people are scared of me.lol

One time, my friend was talking to one of his friends about me and some random kid comes up to them and says "Are you talking about Angie?" and they're like yeah and he was like "Dude, don't talk about her. She's emo and will slice your throat. She listens to all that emo shit like My Chemical Romance"

I was kinda mad when I heard that, but I just laughed in my Chuck Taylor high tops and Drumline MCR shirt. =D

Not many, actually. I've been called emo many times, but I don't think it has anything to do with my interest in My Chemical Romance.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is where my sister's friend would sing the chorus to Dead in a mock voice and make the motion of slitting his wrists. He probably meant nothing by it, so whatever. I don't care Smile

Ugh.. what haven't I been called?

Year seven in high school was ruined for me because people kept calling me "The Ring", and I had my hair chopped off, so that makes me an emo?
Why do they bother labelling people if they're just going to change the rules?
That's stopped now, but now people walk past me in the hallway and go "Are you emo?" or "Are you a mosher?"
Shocked

I like emo, but my friends call me "In Training" Very Happy
What most people don't get is that there is no word for self-harmers, which is what started everything off last year >;[

True. What most stereotypical idiots dont get is that nobody should really be labelled, unless they want to.

Mad
Its annoying that they do that to us when we're so young, if you don't mind me saying, because you are eleven and I am thirteen.
And they laugh when we say that we're mature for our age because we believe in things that they would say was useless?

And they say that we're too young to understand such things, which is a bottle of arse because we probably understand more than they do. Mr. Green

i hate going to this thread. because none of you stand up for yourselves. c'mon people, there are kids trying to hurt you because you like a band! why dont you guys say something?
unless that part is being left out. in which case, disreguard my comment.

as for me?
im hated at school.
i stand up for myself.
which people dont expect from me.
people call me emo?
i just say 'you know, i dont like being called emo. but since your calling me a label i dont like, i think ill do the same. do you mind if i call you dip shit?'

i have a mcr bag i used to bring my PE clothes to school and i get called emo when i carry it...
but my friend thinks its an awesome bag, so i let her carry it around for the day (it saves me doing it XD) and nobody says anything to her when she has it

i think people have just gotten into a habit of calling me emo, but its starting not to bug me anymore cause i honestly don't see how i'm emo, i wear bright colours almost all the time, im hyper, loud, crazy, random, the only time i'll cry is if im in alot of physical pain, i wear no makeup at all to school, and yet im still "emo"

haha, glad i could humour you. xD
but who cares if they dislike you?
i mean, if you keep letting people just walk all over you like that, you'll never stand up for yourself. build some confidence!
trust me, i was afriad to stand up for myself, too. one day i did, and people respect me now. im way better off.

oh yeah, i got suspended yesterday.
someone wrote 'emo fag that like wrist cutting music emo music like ETF and MCR' on my locker. i figured out who it was, i wrote 'bitch please, figure out what emo is.'
someone i got suspended, but they didnt?
haha, i sometimes hate my school.

I got called emo so many fuckin' times. I'm not even emo and I don't even look emo, so what the hell, hey i guess people like giving me labels.
Also, my friend liked MCR for a while but then she decided she prefered death metal. So she told me I listened to shitty commercial music.
I was like, wtf ?
And this same friend has got an MCR t-shirt (I stole it, it's mine now =D) and it was lying on her bed, so she was like "eww this shit is gross, why do I have a t-shirt of this crap"
I was like "you were the one buying it in the first place, thank you"
Also, last year I had like 50 pics of them in my locker, and bitches wrote "Fuck you emo" on it before crashing the door and ripping off all my beautilf pictures.
God do I wanted to rip THEIR faces off.

I wear my DEAD! hoodie to school a few times a week and nobody gets it. People in the halls radomly shout DEAD! at me, other more concernd bystanders ask why I'm projecting such a sad message about myself. Surprised

When ever anyone really asks I just turn around and show them the MCR logo without saying a word.
