And also, fake meat tastes better than real meat. Seriously. =D

Yes
My family think there's "no point in eating fake meat if you're vegetarian/vegan".
Which is bull, in my opinion.

I've been vegetarian for nearly 4 years, and seriously considering becoming a vegan.

omg fellow vegetarians.
how do you deal with the parents of your friends cooking you meals?
my one friend's mom knows i'm a vegetarian but still cooks me food involving animal by-products,
handing the food over to me and going "oh i cooked this is oil from bacon but it's not like vegetarianism's your RELIGION so it should be fine!"
i'm getting tired of feeding my friends baby sister all this food behind her mom's back but i REALLY don't want to be a bitch.

Unfortunately, I think the only way to handle it is to politely tell your friends' parents that you do not eat meat products or by-products, and that includes shared oil. If they don't get it, you can only just turn the food down and bring snacks for later. ^^;

really though, you have to say something eventually.

I was vegeatrian for about 5ish years, but I had to stop becuase my mum forced me to have meat and becuase I was only 12 I couldn't really tell her where to stick it.
But I've just reacently become vegetarian again.
=]
I can't see myself ever going vegan, but I might in the future.

What's it called when you don't eat meat or poultry, but seafood?
'Cause that's what I am. :]
Been going on since 08.08.08.

I had vegetarian chili with sourdough bread today and it was soooo good.
not like, chunky chili or what have you, it was more soupy actually,
and had sweet corn in it too, not just beans and tomato.
and it has the best spices, I swear.
I love vegetarain chili so much.
especially with sourdough.

and oh, I've been Pescatarian for over 3 and a half years.
yeah yeah yeah, I know I should go all the way, and I would if I could.
but sadly I'm not 18 yet and don't live on my own, so I still have to abide by my mother's rules.
which includes me eating fish. But I don't eat fish-fish, it makes me sick. I only eat shell fish.

Okay, so, I came into this thread for opinions, so don't think I'm being silly or rude or anything of the like, I do mean this with all seriousness.
I'm writing an essay for my english class as to if vegetarians/vegans really have better sex.
Do any of you guys have opinions on this subject or any sort of random information?
Thanks guys. <3

I agree with what Steff said.

+ Maybe I'm just a huge brat, but when my dad (my mom has always respected the no oil or pan sharing) would cook meals, I'd ask if it was cooked in the same oil or pan as the meat.
He'd usually say yes and I'd simply refuse to eat it. I don't know if that would work for your mom or not though. Like I said, maybe I'm really just a brat. xD

I normally just eat before I go, because it's so much easier for me to make it myself and know everything that's in it than try to see if anything has been made/cooked with animal products.

My dad cooks all the family's meat and my non-meat product on the same grill. Our grill is really slanty so all the fat runs off it, and Dad always puts mine at the very top and the meat down the bottom so it's not touching it at all, but it still kind of makes me squeamish.

money honey.:

Well, I think it's basically all about the health.
And including the healthy food that us vegetarians consume,
I truly believe our bodies benefit over it.
We can last longer because our perseverance is better.
Along with this, vegetarians have more endorphins in their
bodies which is a stimulating hormone that the body releases.
Especially during sex, endorphins are most often being released
which may have something to do why vegetarians have a better sex life.

Hope this was helpful. (: <3

That being said, you can eat a diet low in red meat and dairy, with exercise, and still have a very healthy body. Are you required to say that they have better sex? it's hard to know.

LOL. My ex was vegan like me and ours was not good at all, and current bf eats meat and dairy, and ours is fantastic. :] But you don't need to include that in your report because he and I just click way better and other personal details, hahaha. Just thought it would be interesting to play devil's advocate.

Proud meat eater here (: but I have a question that's been bugging me for ages. Can vegans eat honey? Does it come from bees or do they just make it?

Just said what I've heard. (:
And it's actually based on what several scientists have concluded.
Still, it varies from people to people, though. ;]

Vegans don't eat honey.
Because the animal produces it (like cows produce milk), vegans don't consume honey.

Hope that helps!
