Maybe the fact that we're expecting the "end of the world" to happen sometime will cause a reverse effect of nothing happening. Of course, the world will eventually physically end as a whole in a matter of millions of years, but on earth I don't think life will end for a long time. Maybe the whole cliche kinda discourges things from happening.

Buuut...I don't know. If Nuclear bombs ever start being aimed at places, the world will not be a happy place. The residue wiould travel throughout the world and give creatures cancer. There would still most likely be some survivors to carry on.

It is very hard to predict. But I still stick to the terminator prediction.

I think people are wasting time trying to figure it out. just tody it was supossedly the end of the world because a unix clock read1234567890 on friday the 13th?? Seriously you can try to make up predictions but odds are you won't be right. I counted down and nothing happened (except the house passed obama's stimulus plan at the same time O.o). It proves that most of it is just superstition.

I think the world is gonna end in some wacky way though. something no one saw coming. something very random. like all good things end it will catch everyone by surprise. I think that if it was a way people guessed some people would be telling their friends i told you so at the end of the world. Overall i think the bomb idea is most likely because i see ourselves acidently blowing up the world.

^Personally, I don't think anyone would have time to say "I told you so" if the world was blowing up...

i think it's a waste of time trying do predict it.
if we predict when the world will end, it still doesn't mean we'll be able to stop it. we just have to live life in the moment and enjoy it.
