Mindfuck Always Born a Crime Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5614 | xxZalanortxx:Why do I find comfort in it? Because the thought of existing after my physical time on Earth is up is what is 'hell' to me. I don't want to live on in the form of anything else. I don't want to be a spirit. I don't want to go to a heaven or a hell or some kind of nirvana. I don't want to be reincarnated. I just want to die and decompose. I'm also not an idiot, and I know that you don't just lay there and watch yourself decompose. You wouldn't exist anymore, and that I find comforting because all I need is this life. I like to live and I like to be alive, but I'm content with my belief that I will not exist one day. I think dying of old age is the most peaceful thing that can happen to someone. It's like a quiet exit from your life into nothingness. Your memory doesn't live on, your body doesn't live on, you cease to think and feel and in a way I find that type of death comforting. Of course, not everyone dies of old age - some die of a disease or illness, or in an accident, and that's unfortunate. Some don't even make it to old age... but of old age is how I want to die. |
hunteri heroici. Always Born a Crime Age: 30 Gender: - Posts: 6926 | As arrogant as it may seem, I am not afraid to die. It's something natural, it happens to everyone. Literally. I am not really religious, but I do believe that when we die, something of ours lives on. Call it memories of the people who are left behind, call it the afterlife, call it what you will. But, to me, death is just the beginning of a new life. |
Mindfuck Always Born a Crime Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5614 | ^It's not arrogant I think it's perfectly okay to not fear death. It's just part of life. |

Wolly-san Fabulous Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 101 | Mindfuck: Yeah. But what about the poor people that didn't have a choice of life. I think personally that they should have a chance of life. I would hate to not have an afterlife. I wouldn't want to start life all over again. Whats wrong with wanting to be with the person you love in your afterlife. With them forever. |
cemeterydrive. Killjoy Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 8 | I am absolutely terrified about death. I think about it a lot I guess. It's just the fact that it could come at any time, you might go to sleep and not wake up tomorrow, and that what have you got to show for your life? That's it, you are gone. No second chances, no one last times. I think the thing I'm most scared of is dying without having done anything with my life, of just being invisible until I die, then the world moves on without me. I don't really believe in heaven, or afterlife, I think you're just dead. But it would be so amazing if there was, and you got to meet up with everyone you ever loved there... |
Wolly-san Fabulous Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 101 | cemeterydrive.: XD I agree. Though I think everyone thinks like that because I have never met anybosy who just wants to die, and there must be more people than you and me that are afraid of death. It is frightening |
MCRAlwaysInMyHeart Killjoy Age: - Gender: - Posts: 3 | I believe that there is an afterlife. It's sucks to know though that one day i'll be gone, leaving whoever I love behind. To tell you the truth, I'm truly scared of being dead. What will happen to me? What could happen to my soul? |
Wolly-san Fabulous Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 101 | I dont think anyone can answer that. |
MetalHead Killjoy Age: 26 Gender: Male Posts: 2 | Death is something that everyone will have to accept. I'm not a religious person and I don't believe in something called the "afterlife". I accept death and I'm not afraid of it. |
Alexface. Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Male Posts: 3489 | Wolly-san:Life isn't fair, as cliché as that sounds. And there's nothing "wrong" with wanting to be with loved ones after you die. I mean, if there were one reason I would want an afterlife (which I don't, really) it would be so that I could still see friends and family. Realistically, I just don't think it will happen. And hey, what's wrong with spending as much time with them as possible in the one life we know we have? |
Wolly-san Fabulous Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 101 | Realistically, I dont think it will happen either. but I still think that we havent got anything to loose if we believe in it so at least it doesnt feel like youre ruining your life completely. |
Bad Obsession Salute You in Your Grave Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 2469 | grim as ever.: wow this is a good way to put it.. ok so first of all you have to ask yourself what are you afraid of? to die or the afterlife.. personally I'm afraid to die.. I'm afraid of the pain. I'm afraid that if I die and I didn't do anything with my life.. or don't have enough time to.. well whatever.. that kind of shit.. about the afterlife, I don't know what to believe :/ I'm not too religious either but there's always that part of you that will always have that doubt right? |
